Antique Grand Tour bronze of Narcissus signed F. Barbedienne
Large Grand Tour bronze of Narcissus. Of particularly good size and with an excellent patina. This one is French and signed on the base by the famous firm of brass founders F. Barbedienne.
Perhaps the last of the classical bronzes to be found at Pompeii, it was disinterred in 1862.
French Circa 1890.
25 inches high by 10.5 inches diameter ( 62.5 cms by 26.25 cms).
