A pair of 19th century Chinese carved ivory "Lion-Dog" Temple Guards.
Very finely carved with a good patina. The male with it's paw resting on a globe, the female with it's paw resting on a lion cub, Both sitting on elaborately carved plinths above wooden stands inlaid with fine silver wire.
