A lovely Austrian gilt bronze and hand painted enamel music box in the form of a grand piano.
All surfaces of the musical box are covered with polychreme enamel. Scenes of courting couples in pastoral backgounds and putti playing in a landscape. Even the underside of the piano has a full scene, the lid covering the keys is also painted and the keys themselves are enamelled.
Excellent working order, key wound movement.
